KOTA BARRAGE DAM

Kota Barrage Dam is located about 0.8 km upstream of Kota City in Rajasthan. Kota Barrage the is fourth in the series of Chambal Valley Projects. Water released after power generation at Gandhi Sagar dam, Rana Pratap Sagar dam and Jawahar Sagar Dams, is diverted by Kota Barrage for irrigation in Rajasthan and in Madhya Pradesh through canals on the left and the right sides of the river.

MEHRANGARH FORT


Mehran Garh is situated 400 feet above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. Inside its boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. A winding road leads to and from the city below. The imprints of cannonball hits by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate. To the left of the fort is the chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot defending the Mehrangarh fort.

Jodhpur was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief of the Rathore clan, in 1459. It is named after him only. Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India it was previously known as Marwar. Jodhpur is the second largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located 335 kilometres west from the state capital, Jaipur and 200 kilometres from the city of Ajmer. Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar desert.
Jodhpur city is also known as the "Sun City" for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all year.

Udaipur Solar Observatory is considered as the best solar observing site in Asia. Situated on an island in the Fateh Sagar Lake, Solar Observatory  is among the few in the world that are sited on an island. Udaipur Solar Observatory was established by Dr. Arvind Bhatnagar under the Vedhashala Trust of Ahmedabad. The organization is basically affianced in Astrological activities. However, the observatory aspires to do research in modern science.

Udaipur is very beautiful city of Rajasthan, India. Known for its picturesque lakes, Udaipur also called 'the city of lakes'. Jaisamand Lake


¤ Jaisamand Lake - Larget Artificial Lake of Asia



The lake, built by Maharana Jai Singh in 1685, is the Largest artificial lake of the Asia and second Largest Lake in the World covering an area of 36sq km. The lake remained the largest artificial lake in the world till the building of the Aswan dam in Egypt.
The statistics of the lake is really amazing – 9 miles in breadth, 102 feet deep at its deepest end, a circumference of 30 miles with marble staircases leading into the water. The summer palaces of the Queens of Udaipur surround Jaisamand Lake on all sides.
Jaisamand is located 52km south east of Udaipur
 On the bank of lake are elegant marble steps descending to the water.
The Jaisamand Sanctuary built in 1957 covering an area of 62sqkm welcomes a wide variety of resident and migratory birds and animals.
